First childproof nozzle tube for Laboratoires Liomont

Within only one year project time, Mexico-based Laboratoires Liomont marketed a childproof nozzle tube with a diameter of 13.5 mm – the first company to do so. The product it contains is Cicloferon, an ointment for treating cold sores that is marketed in the United States by Marcas. Before the relaunch, the product came in a non-childproof aluminum tube.

Liomont chose the small Polyfoil^® container because of its excellent barrier properties against air, light and moisture – and because of its ergonomic nozzle. The tube remains stable when it is being used and always looks almost new as a result. The certified childproof cap ensures that the tube can only be opened by adults, who must press and turn at the same time.
